About Us
 Sabrina Verkamp

Sabrina Verkamp has been interested in art from as far back as she can remember. She attended a local university where she studied commercial art but it was her part-time job as a personalizer at Abbey Press that most piqued her interest in the lettering arts. What some might find tedious, she found challenging and interesting. "More than just a learned skill, I found lettering to be an artistic medium for self-expression."

From there she arranged to study under a masterful calligrapher and Benedictine monk at St. Meinrad Archabbey- Fr. Eric Lies. OSB.

Since then she has continued her education in the art of calligraphy by attending classes and conferences
taught by some of the the best penmen in the world. She is a member of the Calligraphy Guild of Indiana and IAMPETH  (International Association of Master Penman, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting).

In her spare time, Sabrina enjoys spending time outdoors. She finds inspiration in nature, which is often
reflected in her hand painted and hand engraved designs. She also works as a volunteer for "Creating Hope" -
an organization that helps people cope with cancer through self-expression and creativity.

Although she is the backbone behind SV Calligraphy and the Etsy shop 'ArtfullySV', her daughters assist her
with their specialized talents. Together they work to meet the needs of clients nationwide by providing       calligraphy and design services. They also create artisticly designed wedding accessories and other fine art.

Audrey holds a BA in Biology. Her love of animals steered her in the direction of zoological studies. Although her career is that of a laboratory animal technician, she has always had a keen interest in the fine arts.

It wasn't until after college that she stumbled upon images of handmade creatures, termed 'art dolls', that were made from wool. Captivated, she was drawn into the genre of 'fibre art'.  From there, she studied and researched further. Practicing and applying what she had learned, she needle felted her first sculpture in 2013.
Now she spends much of her free time creating the mythical creatures that inhabit the far corners of her imagination.

"Art is no longer a passtime for me, it is a lifestlye. I am constanlty brainstorming on what I am going to create next. Always an adventure, never boring, art is the silent companion driving me forward. I am growing as an artist and I look forward to the years in which my talent is given the chance to grow and flourish."
